Subic Bay Children's Home Receives 100% of Your Donation
The best way to ship items to the children's home is using a Balikbayan Box. What is a Balikbayan Box? The term literally means "to send back home." It is a large box about 1.5 X 1.5 X 2 feet and usually has no weight limit. It can cost anywhere from $35 to $125 depending on where you live. If you live closer to the coast it will usually be cheaper.
There are many companies that do this type of shipping. Below are links to a few of the major companies. If you know of a good shipping company not on the list email the info to us and we will post it.
ALERT: The shippers will tell you that the boxes will arrive in 30 days. This is true with some of the shipping companies. Other companies have taken up to two and a half months to deliver boxes. If you want them to arrive by Christmas be sure to ship by before the first of October.
ALERT: Sending packages through the postal service is risky. Although we have had no problem receiving letters or birthday cards.
ALERT: Chocolate and Gummy Bear Vitamins will melt in the summer time during shipment. Summer runs from March-May. Be sure to always seal chocolate or anything that might melt in a zip lock bag so it won't leak on everything if it does melt.
